Conflict but not conflict. The US-Iran ceasefire continues to look ever so fragile and vulnerable, basically balancing on a knife's edge.
The latest development this week is basically Iran deciding to attack some ships in the Strait of Hormuz to start with. Then, the US responded with "a series of powerful strikes" against Iran that eventually led the strait to be more or less closed again. And Iran is retaliating in attacking US bases in the Gulf region, as seen above.
The headline from Iran's state media says that they have conducted a strike at a US base in Bahrain. Adding that there will be more attacks if the US repeats its strikes against Iran.
It looks like war might be back on the menu soon enough.
And if so, we can throw the Strait of Hormuz playbook out the window. Well, it's not to say that the reality of the situation was that much better than before the memorandum of understanding was signed anyway.
